In honor of Global Ismaili CIVIC Day 2024, Ismaili CIVIC Bangladesh joined hands with It’s Humanity Foundation to advance its ongoing flood rehabilitation efforts in Bangladesh. This initiative focused on addressing a critical need: access to clean water for the flood-stricken community of Chouddogram in Cumilla.

The centerpiece of this phase of the rehabilitation program was the construction of a deep tube well in a locality where an ultra-poor community of 200 people resides. For years, these residents depended on a nearby pond for water—a source that became increasingly contaminated after repeated flooding, posing severe health risks.

The newly installed tube well is a lifeline, providing safe, clean drinking water and significantly improving hygiene and sanitation standards for the community. This project exemplifies Ismaili CIVIC Bangladesh's commitment to sustainable, community-focused solutions.

This effort builds on earlier phases of their flood relief work, which included distributing seeds, food, medicines, and hygiene essentials. The collaboration with It’s Humanity Foundation underscores the power of partnerships in tackling pressing challenges, ensuring that vulnerable communities can recover and rebuild with dignity and hope.

This initiative is not just about water—it is about life, health, and a renewed sense of security for those most in need.
