The day began with morning Jamat Khana where the children participated in various different wadas. After Jamat Khana, they engaged in exciting games of Kho Kho to foster team spirit and encourage collaboration between the students.
The participants then boarded the bus and went to Jolshiri Central Park, where they took part in several interesting and educational activities by ITREB, Education and Youth and Sports Committees. For example, ITREB arranged activities on understanding the concepts and values of our Tariqa, respecting diversity and pluralism, unity, leading an ethical life, voluntary service, understanding about balance between din and dunya, climate change issues and what they can do, etc etc. Education Committee arranged activities on trivia and playing human-sized snakes and ladders. After the different activities, the participants enjoyed the mouth-watering breakfast items and spent the day with lot of fun, adventure and laughter.
The best part about the program was that half participants were from Dhaka and half were from Chittagong from different traditions and cultures. So both groups learnt about each others culture and tradition also.
At the end, before departing for home, the participants also explored the beautiful park which had lot of different things like theatre, maize, computer games, etc etc. They also played football and learnt an interesting and new Afghani game.
The feedback from some participants was as follows: “I had a lot of fun at the event and got an opportunity to interact with students in a different setting”; “We look forward to many more events like these in the near future.” Another participant said: “Please do these kinds of programs more. I really enjoyed today”. “Yet another participant said: “It was a great program. I did not know that I was going to enjoy so much. It was lot of fun”. “I made many new friends and learnt about different culture also”.
