Following the Mulaqat in Atlanta, Georgia, Mawlana Hazar Imam will arrive in Houston, Texas, on Sunday, March 18 to continue his historic 10-day visit to the United States. Jamati members from several regions will be traveling to the city to participate in the Diamond Jubilee Mulaqat.

Mawlana Hazar Imam’s visit comes after an official invitation from the state governments of Georgia and Texas. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner wrote a personal note on behalf of the City to welcome all Jamati members traveling to Houston.

“Ismailis contribute to our social, cultural and economic landscape, [and] are active in civil society. You are known across the city for your commitment to service and community building,” Mayor Turner stated.

“I am excited that Houston is one of the two cities that His Highness the Aga Khan is visiting on his Diamond Jubilee trip to the United States and I look forward to marking this milestone with you… Diamond Jubilee Mubarak!”

Mayor Turner also shared a video message to the Ismaili community on social media congratulating the Ismaili community on behalf of the City.
