Uganda Jamat IIS Sessions

The Communications National Task Force and the Jamati Programs and Activities National Task Force, in conjunction with ITREB, AKEB, and YSP are pleased to announce to the Jamat that Al-Waez Hussain Jasani, will be delivering a series of programmes for the benefit of the Jamat.

Al-Waez Hussain Jasani is currently based at the Institute of Ismaili Studies and has a diverse educational background including an MA in Islamic Societies and Cultures.

Al-Waez Hussain Jasani manages the International Training Programmes and other Educational programmes for Jamati and AKDN leadership. We kindly ask the Jamat to participate in large numbers to benefit from the insightful and thought provoking discussions.

The following programmes have been planned for the Jamat during his visit between Friday, 8 September and Monday, 11 September 2017.

Topic: Celebrating the Grace of Jamatkhanas and Ismaili Centers

Topic: Role of RE Teachers and the Work of IIS

Participants: All ECD and BUI Teachers are invited to participate to enhance their Professional Development as Teachers.
 
 
Topic: RE - Preparing your Child for the 21st Century
Date: Saturday, 9 September 2017
Time: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
Venue: DJ Hall
Participants: All Parents are invited to participate and get suggestions on how to engage your children in our faith.
 
 
Topic: Exploring Spaces of Worship around the World and their Symbolisms

Participants: All STEP students are invited to participate in a discussion about the role Jamatkhanas and Ismaili Centers play in our lives.
 
 
Session for Youth Topic: Role of Imamat and Impact of Ismaili Centres
Date: Sunday, 10 September 2017
Time: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Venue: Fairway Hotel
Hussain Jasani, will conduct this session for our Youth and will provide insight on Role of Imamat and Impact of Ismaili Centres around the world.
 
 
Session for Seniors Topic: Sodh – Ek Santulit Jivanki
Date: Monday, 11 September 2017
Time: 4:00 pm – 6.00pm
Venue: DJ Hall
Participants: All Seniors of the Jamat are cordially invited for a discussion on the search for a balanced life between Din and Duniya. All seniors are urged to attend this program which will be conducted in Hindi/Gujarati. Transport will be provided from Kololo Jamatkhana at 3:00 pm sharp. Please register your names with members of the Seniors team.
 
 
Session for Youth Topic: Just Ask Do you ever wonder why we do things the way we do them? Come join us and wonder no more. This is a special informal interactive session for all the youth ages 18 to 35. Ask all your questions to the expert in an informal setting.
