Three TKN volunteers – Sobia Makhani, Ashna Suchak, and Kais Khimji – delivered programmes for the Aga Khan Education Service (AKES) in Tajikistan (AKES) in the summer of 2017. The Aga Khan Trust for Culture commenced conservation and landscaping works at Sunder Nursery in 2007. The area has since flourished into a park comprising of formal and informal gardens, water features, orchards, pavilions, bird habitats, and a sunken amphitheatre for cultural events and festivals. The Mughal-inspired central areas feature marble fountains and flowing water set amidst geometric flower beds, and raised pathways.
