Arts, in general, have always played a key role in developing the well-being of seniors, providing benefits for their physical and mental health, namely: contributing to greater participation and social interaction, stimulating creativity.
These being some of its objectives, Elderly Care promoted the workshop: "Art in the Best Age".
This session was supported by the trainer Ana Filipa, who brought a cut and collage activity, based on the work of the designer, painter and ceramist Manuel Alves Cargaleiro, one of the main figures of Portuguese art and that our Jamat knows so well through his triptych, which is one of the works of art at the Ismaili Centre.
The trainer Ana Filipa invited the participants to explore some colours and geometric shapes, developing a work of composition and harmony through fine motor coordination, attention, notion of space and proportion.
