The pre-registration allows us – the team that is preparing the Portugal Arts Festival – to have more effective and direct contact with all the artists who want to participate in the event, but also to do better planning so that everyone can shine!

Afterwards, you have until the 17th of September to send the submission, whether in video, photography, canvas or another format within the mentioned categories.
The form has all the information you need for a successful submission, but here is a more detailed guide for filling it out.
1. Before starting the submission process, we ask you to read the regulations to ensure that your piece meets the requirements;
2. In the case of a group submission, we ask that only ONE person complete the form on behalf of the group and that this person be our direct point of contact.
3. In the case of minor participants, it is the guardian who must complete the form and the same rule applies in relation to group submissions. Designate a guardian as our single point of contact. It will also be necessary for parents and guardians to sign a declaration of authorization of participation and image sharing of the minors.
4. For the Art Gallery category, you need to submit a photograph of your artwork and add a short narrative with the development process of your piece and how it fits into the theme “Care”. If you want, you can create a making of video of your work of art, but it is not mandatory.
5. For the Cinema/Film category, you need to submit your film and add a short narrative of the film's development process, the inspirations, the process itself and how the film fits into the “Care” theme;
6. For the Performing Arts category, you need to submit a video with your complete performance, of 3 minutes maximum, and add a narrative with the inspirations, concepts, the development process of your performance and how it fits into the theme “Care”;

After a validation process of all submissions, we will contact all artists with the next steps.
On the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of October – dates of the Portugal Arts Festival - we will have a panel of independent juries that will look at all the submissions and choose the finalists who will be participating in the Global Encounters Festival that will take place in the summer of 2024 in Dubai.
