The Summer Youth Camps will be an overnight camp program developed by the Institutions of the Jamat and will take place in the summer of 2023. The main mission of these camps is to bring together our youth and increase the sense of unity and belonging in our community.
The main objectives of this information session are to inform parents about the Camps, the organising team and to clarify any possible questions. We hope to count on you all!
The three Camps this summer will offer activities suitable for the different age groups and have common objectives:
- Create lasting connections and friendships;
- Promote teamwork and strengthen the spirit of leadership by providing a mix of outdoor activities, entertainment and connection with our faith/religion;
- Stimulate young people intellectually and spiritually;
- Provide a fun environment.
This year, we will have 3 Camps:
- Camp Descobrir for children aged 6 to 8 - July 3rd to 4th
- Camp Explorar for children aged 9 to 11 - July 4th to 6th
- Camp Iluminar for youth aged 12 to 17 - August 12th to 15th
They will take place at Campo Jovem (Quinta Ganados), in Tomar, and will feature various activities such as canoeing, slide, archery, and more.
