- My Golden Time Seixal
On June 24th, the My Golden Time program had the usual presence of Sandra Barradas. In this session, the symbolism of the Lotus Flower was addressed, and seniors had the opportunity to learn about its resilience and ability to be reborn, every day, in face of adversity. In this context, the Lotus Flower represents a metaphor for how there are people with the ability to overcome pain, becoming serene, persistent and with self-control.
- My Golden Events
"The status of the informal caregiver" was the theme proposed by Elderly Care, in synergy with the Aga Khan Foundation, for the session of My Golden Events on June 25th.
This session was attended by Nélida Aguiar, of the National Association of Informal Caregivers (ANCI), in order to inform and clarify issues related to the duties, rights and challenges (physical and emotional) faced by informal caregivers.
- Active Memory Lisbon
On June 29th, the speaker of the Active Memory program, Zubeda Ruhani, addressed to the necessary rules to restart using Jamatkhana.
In addition to the usual physical activity, the session also featured some stories based on concepts such as: humility, the practice of good deeds and the exercise of "not judging".
Seniors also had the opportunity to watch a video, where its participants, also seniors, shared Mubarak messages due to the approach of Imamat Day.
- IT Session
IT sessions take place on Tuesdays, for seniors in Seixal, and on Thursdays for seniors in Lisbon and Oeiras.
Technology allows seniors to be a part of an online community and acquire new experiences.
- Choir (in synergy with External Relations, Arts & Culture - ERAC)
Jamati seniors have been participating in senior choir sessions on Tuesdays, through the Zoom platform.
- English classes - Lisbon and Seixal
Basic and intermediate English classes continue to take place every Wednesday, in Lisbon, and the intermediate English classes in Seixal are held on Thursdays.
