The event was held on march 18th with a theme relevant for all members with two speakers: Dr Jardel Duarte and Dra Fatima Monteiro which have a large experience in Angola.
Dr. Jardel presentation focused on the country of opportunity that Angola is and spoke about the various state supported programs for investors in Angola such as PRODESI, PLANAGRÃO, PLANAPESCAS E PLANAPECUÁRIA and about some benefits such as low interest rates for economy diversification. He explained how to organize investment plans, compliant accounting and mitigation of risk trough insurances.
Dra Fatima Monteiro highlighted the importance of insurance. She states that: “The insurance sector plays a key role in the economy of any country. Insurance responds to a need for security we all have. It saves lives and contributes to stronger companies. Insurance is not only a consequence but also a cause driver of economic growth and social progress. There is a cause-and-effect interdependence relationship. In order to grow, the economy needs to be safe and insurance will only grow if the economy grows.”
The session took about one and a half hour with also a section reserved for Question and answers with around 60 members present.
