Salgirah Celebrations 2022

Women’s activities hosted a fun filled afternoon, on Saturday November 26th, to kick off the festive season.

The program commenced at noon with a cooking demonstration, focusing on the mango season with a flavoured mousse and a traditional biscuit cake, which were later enjoyed as dessert.

 

Tasbih beading class for children

Simultaneously the children participated in a tasbih beading session, promoting bilateral coordination, developing math skills, improving fine motor faculties, endorsing team work and social interaction.
             

 

What is an event without refreshments?

Abundant and tasty delicious dishes, with a diverse variety, an array for all.  Chilled and relaxed ambiance.  JALEBIS AND SMILES.
 

 

Let’s move, let’s groove!

The ladies and children took to the dance floor, enjoying different styles of rasra, garba, as well as embracing the Jerusalema challenge along with the Macarena.

Thanking the dessert demonstrators and tasbih guides, for their time, patience and spirit of volunteerism, subsequently taking a break and enjoying a marvellous lunch.  

 

The afternoon ended on a high note, uplifted spirits, where the ladies and children got a chance to reconnect on a different level.
