The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) in London, UK, is seeking to recruit a Primary Education Curriculum Officer to assist in its primary education project in the Department of Curriculum Studies (DCS), under the direction of the ECD and the Director of Primary Education Curriculum.

The successful candidate, who will have a specialisation in primary education, will focus on strengthening the current Ta'lim curriculum through a digital pathway and progress towards the development of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) aimed at improving the quality of education.

Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), for use by teachers, pupils and families. Support the development of digital content and pedagogy, including multimedia and other interactive features, to improve teaching and learning materials suitable for the educational development of children between the ages of 6 and 12.

They will also effectively use digital media as tools in the teaching process for teacher training.

Essential requirements:
- A postgraduate qualification in Education and experience of teaching with the 6-12 age group.
- High degree of familiarity with child development theories and the IIS curriculum for IIS primary education.
- Relevant experience in the application of interactive teaching and learning pedagogy, including substantial involvement in the development of digital content and pedagogies in educational programmes.
- Knowledgeable of developments in the field of educational technology and the design of digital materials for parent support programmes and professional development for volunteer primary school teachers.
- Ability to deal with the cultural sensitivities and challenges of developing and translating a hybrid RE curriculum for a diverse global context.
- Excellent content editing and writing skills, good working in a collaborative team environment and ability to manage multiple priorities within a project.
