Did you know that over the last 50 years, world plastic production has increased 8 times to a shocking 400 million tonnes? Plastic is an integral part of our lives and essential in many situations. But it is neither healthy nor sustainable for the planet. What can we do then? How can we rethink plastic and possible alternatives for a healthier future? The exhibition we propose today seeks these answers. Find out all the details.

Plastic is everywhere around us. It's part of our lives, whether we like it or not. But it is not sustainable at all.

The exhibition "Plástico: Reconstruir o Nosso Mundo", the new exhibition at MAAT- Museu de Arte, Arquitetura e Tecnologia, lets us know a little about the history of plastic, its evolution, different uses, but also, what projects – in terms of regulation, design, technological development – exist in the world to try to provide a more effective answer to this question.

The exhibition is extremely interesting and will keep you on your toes from start to finish. And it is also an interactive and appealing way to make children more aware of this problem!

This exhibition will be on display at MAAT until the 28th of August.
