The Aga Khan Economic Planning Board (AKEPB) is promoting a professional course in repairing, fixing, or replacing parts for mobile phones and tablets, to be held from March 6th to 10th, at the Ismaili Centre Lisbon.

This course is primarily aimed at empowering Jamat members with technical knowledge to specialise in this area of work:

  • Understand the basic components and functions of a mobile phone, including the display, battery, camera, various buttons, and ports;
  • Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot common problems with mobile phones, such as a broken screen, malfunctioning buttons, or software issues;
  • Gaining the ability to repair or replace damaged components such as a cracked or faulty battery;
  • Learn how to safely disassemble and reassemble a mobile phone;
  • Understand the tools and equipment needed for mobile phone repair, and how to use them safely and effectively;
  • Learning about the different types of mobile phone models and software, and how to troubleshoot and repair them;
  • Understanding the cost of repair and pricing strategy;
  • Learning about customer service skills and how to communicate effectively with customers;
  • Understanding safety measures and precautions to take when handling electronic devices;
  • Gain the knowledge of how to set up and run a mobile repair business.

The course will be held from March 6th to 10th, between 9:00am and 6:00pm at the Exhibition Hall of Ismaili Centre. A professional certificate will be issued to all participants at the end of the course. Registration is open until the February 27th. The course will be taught in English, with support in Gujrati. The number of participants is limited.
