On 1st of May, Africa was brought together by the One Jamat One Africa Program which filled our houses with reflections, hope and music.

The impact of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 in all the world has been very challenging. The closing of Jamatkhanas, a space of faith and hope has affected all Ismailis and left a bittersweet taste in our mouths.
To minimize distances and maximize smiles the Councils for Angola, DRC, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda joined hands and put together an amazing One Jamat One Africa Program.
The evening began at 4pm (Angola time) with a Talk with Al-Waez and time for reflection and prayer time, followed by a session with Azim Jamal a renowned speaker that ignited the SPARK in all our hearts.

The evening ended with a live concert from The Sufistics.
A very emotional music band led by Fez Meghani, an Ismaili from America, a singer, songwriter, and producer, whose music focuses on conveying values of hope, peace, love, generosity and kindness. The Sufistics core collaborators are Aftab Ali and Pervaiz Mirza and they have performed in numerous shows to audiences as large as 30,000 people.

In addition to the core group, The Sufistics are accompanied frequently by guest musicians who have together performed in Europe, South Asia and Australia.

This evening broadcasted on THE.ISMAILITV was viewed by more than 3.000 households all over the world in 49 countries.

One Jamatí member who saw the concert sent a very nice message:
“Thanks for uplifting everyone’s morale during these difficult times. Today especially being Friday. We are so fortunate to have Jamatí members giving their time and honorary Seva. Allah bless them.
Congratulation and job well done.”
