    Navroz celebrations 2024

On March 21st, Ismaili Muslims around the world celebrate the festival of Navroz (Nowruz), which marks the first day of Spring and the beginning of a new year. On the occasion of its celebrations, an event will take place on March 16th, after the religious ceremonies, at the Ismaili Center, Lisbon, and at the Jamatkhana in Seixal.

March 16th (Saturday, after religous cerimonies)

  • Rozi filling

  • Entertainment program

Interfaith program (Ismaili Centre, Lisbon): It will take place during religious cerimonies (from 7pm to 8pm), where “fun facts” about Navroz will be discussed, including: context, culture and spiritual meaning and a tour of Navroz traditions. The program will continue from 8pm, with the Mehndi Party where the interfaith family members will be able to join all the members of the Jamat.

March 21st (Thursday)

  • Each member of the Jamat will celebrate Navroz on their respective Jamatkhanas.
