The concept of Mental Health is broader than the simple absence of neurological diseases and is experienced differently from person to person, depending on their genetic information and their experiences.
There are unexpected events in our lives that can harm mental well-being, particularly in terms of emotions that result in sleep disturbance, anxiety or depression and that may lead to physical symptoms such as increased heart rate, shortness of breath, sweating , chills, dizziness, among others.
These events are processed differently according to the individual and in the case of changes in normality, these must be valued and specialized help must be assured.
Given the recent developments and should you need this expert help and/or guidance, please contact the members of the Aga Khan Health Board Alida Vissram, Adam Sadrudine and Farid Alaudine.
