The contest is open until the 4th of May. The winners, entitled to a prize worth €1,500 for the 5 most creative sardines, will be announced on the 31st of May.
But what are we talking about, after all?
There are a thousand and one ways to create the famous sardine: patterned, multicolored, embroidered, carved, digital or manual, anything goes. So, the invitation is for you to create the most original “model” of the famous sardine.
The motto for this year's competition is: April, it’s raining sardines! It’s a loose adaptation of a Portuguese saying “Abril águas mil” which means we have a thousand rain showers in April. But, in this case, it means it’s raining a thousand sardines in April.
The sardines will be evaluated for their originality, creativity, and adaptability to different communication formats. Submissions can be individual or collective, and you can submit a maximum of 3 sardines to the contest.
