Volunteering at Banco Alimentar Against Hunger has a positive impact on volunteers and communities and is a powerful way of supporting the fight against hunger and building stronger, more supportive communities.
The active food banks collect and distribute tens of thousands of tonnes of products and support institutions all over Portugal throughout the year. In turn, they distribute cooked meals and food baskets to people who are demonstrably in need, with a total distribution of more than 390,000 people.
As one of the main pillars of Ismaili CIVIC is support for the most vulnerable families, we invite you to join the groups of volunteers who will be supporting this cause.
You have two ways of doing this:
1) Joining the food collection teams at the Continente supermarket in Colombo Shopping Centre.
