Dear Jamat of Spain,
I hereby address you in my capacity as the new member of the National Council for Spain. My name is Yasmín Shabudine, I’m 32 and I belong to Málaga Jamat, which I hope you will have the opportunity to visit at some point.
I have a Law Degree from Málaga University. After finishing, I had the opportunity to live in Lisbon and London while I continued with my Master's studies and started my professional career. In 2018 I returned to Málaga, from where I manage a group of family companies, mainly in the distribution sector, in Spain, Portugal and Angola.
I consider myself a very family-oriented person, and I am fortunate to have the support of my family to help me fulfil my personal and professional endeavours. That is why, when I was appointed member of the National Council for Spain in July 2023, I accepted it with much enthusiasm and determination. I am aware that it is a role full of responsibilities and goals for the Spain Jamat. Hence, I trust that I will be able to count with the help of an increasing number of Jamati members, for the various areas of work that the current teams of the Spain Jamat have been committed to for a long time, so that we can move forward strengthening the Jamat as a whole.
Our dearest Farana Sadrudin (may she rest in peace) left this role with very high standards, as the committed and hard-working person she was, dedicating many years to our Jamat. In the light of the work she did for the Jamat, I would like to continue her legacy in the best way possible, achieving a number of milestones that ultimately accomplish the unity of the Jamat of Spain, reinforcing the institutional and community sentiment, along with supporting and improving the dissemination of information in regard to education, work, economy and physical and mental well-being, as well as improving the quality of life of members of the Jamat who are settling in our country. In essence, relying upon the vision of Mawlana Hazar Imam for all his Jamats, wherever they may be.
Thank you for your support and I look forward to meeting you all very soon.
Salgirah Mubarak to all the Jamati members in Spain and to your families!
