BABYLON GARDEN
Who is Sara Pontes?
Sara is born in Lisbon 1981. An agricultural engineer by training, her passion is drawing and painting, which she has had as a hobby since she was a child.
Combining her two great passions – Art and Nature – Sara Pontes creates her works, using mixed techniques, and in an abstract/contemporary style.
In 2021, she made the big decision to dedicate herself exclusively to painting, opening her studio, in the center of Faro, which is her city of residence.
United by their passion for Nature, Sara Pontes and Olga Cardoso, curator of this exhibition, accepted the challenge and moved forward with this Babylon Garden project, with a wonderful hanging garden, designed by “Grass Guro” conceptualized by Geordie McGill.
It is in the mysticism of Babylon's famous vertical gardens that the "Babylon Garden" exhibition invites you on a journey. We will have the opportunity to lose ourselves and find ourselves, guided by the organic lines of a painting that evokes the senses.
The exhibition is open until 12 November. Bring your family and friends and get lost in this marvellous Babylonian garden!
