This week’s Golden Age activity, which took place on May 7th, was hosted by speaker Sandra Barradas, with the theme: “The importance and usefulness of emotions”.
This session presented the EFT (Emotinal Freedom Techniques) technique, an emotional liberation therapy, "created" in 1995 by Gary Craig, an American engineer and coach. It is based on the knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine, according to which, several energetic currents or meridians send energy to our body, keeping it in balance and harmony.
The way it was developed, results from the combination of acupuncture techniques, but that instead of needles, only fingertips are used.
It can be easily practiced by our seniors at home, with several benefits, especially in the current context.
