Eye health impacts education, employment, quality of life, poverty and so many other Sustainable Development Goals.

Nearly everyone on the planet will experience an eye health issue in their lifetime and more than a billion people worldwide do not have access to eye care services. World Sight Day (WSD) is an International Day of Awareness, held annually on the second Thursday of October to focus attention on the global issue of eye health.

With this in mind and in partnership with Centro Optico Angola the Aga Khan Health Board in Angola, launched a protocol with Centro Optico for a free eye checkup consult and also 15% discount in eyewear and lens valid for all Jamati members regardless of age.
On the 16th of October, various members of the Jamat, went to Centro Optico for a free eye checkup consult.
