Welcome to the April edition of our newsletter. 

We kick off with an article by the education board about a programme that focuses on learning through playing. Read and discover how this program works and find out more about the event that took place last month at the Epic Sana Hotel in Luanda.

Ramadan is the Arabic name for the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. It is considered one of the holiest months for Muslims and is marked by a period of fasting, considered one of the five pillars of Islam. Read the article that explains what the purpose of fasting is.

Next, the Economic Planning Board held a seminar with the theme “The Importance of Investments and Insurance in Angola”, which is quite useful for our community in Angola. The seminar focused on the country of opportunity that Angola is and spoke about the various state supported programs for investors in Angola.

We move on to the Women’s Activities Portfolio, that together with the Health Board, celebrated Women’s day on March 11th 2023, by hosting a seminar on Mental Health Awareness, a subject that has been receiving a great deal of attention in recently, particularly post pandemic.

We wrap up this edition with an article about cholesterol. It is an essential fat in our body, which has two origins: a part produced by the body itself, the liver, and another part obtained through food, by eating animal products such as meat, eggs and dairy products.
