There are arguably only two forces at play in this world – love and fear. When terrible events take centre stage, the balance can tip in favour of fear and the world can feel unstable, unwelcoming, and even ugly.
It is essential that we keep our eyes open and acknowledge the fear, but it is equally important that we remember love, and that in our own actions, we try to respond from love rather than react out of fear.
So, let us face our everyday with the firm belief that whatever comes our way, whether it is a pandemic, socio-political instability or even war, we have the capacity to endure it with faith, pray, hope and resilience.
