Inspired by the fact that he belongs to the Ismaili Community and visits spaces with elements marked by geometry, such as Islamic architecture, Naquib gives life to his CRIA TU project.
Going back to the essence of geometric shapes - the circle and the square - Naquib brings his art to life, arranging the squares in a non-random way, passing on the message that shapes are already in Nature, and it is up to us to make them functional and adapt them to our ways of life.
CRIA TU, according to Naquib Hassamo, symbolizes his origin, his path and the capacity to create something useful for the Human Being, since “the whole meaning of BEING and EXISTING is an act in favor of the collective, of the Community ”.
This exhibition comes as part of the Ceramics Day celebrations, promoted by the Centro das Artes in Caldas da Rainha, and will be on display at the Barata Feyo Museum, until the 19th of June.
