It seems to us that much like the sciences, the religions and philosophy, the arts are a language that, in its own way, tries to bring some order to the world that surrounds us. The arts, each in its own way, are an expression of what is in our soul, of the way we see the world, of our aspirations.
And it doesn't affect everyone in the same way. But it inevitably creates some impact.
Have you ever watched a movie or heard a song that gives you goosebumps? Has a painting ever forced you to stop and admire it for an extended period of time? Surely, you've seen a comedy that makes you laugh until you cry? Or a building that leaves you speechless?
Art lifts our spirits, makes us feel lighter, can bring hope, or make us reflect. It brings us well-being, inspiration, and creativity.
Our careers can bring us personal satisfaction and success, but the arts bring us so much more.
Mawlana Hazar Imam has made a significant investment for institutions to promote art and culture more consistently and consciously because, in fact, Art promotes our creativity, our physical and psychological well-being.
But it goes much further than that. When, for example, someone from different geographic origins inspires us with their artistic expression, it awakens our curiosity about the other, about their way of being, about their culture. Art helps us to create bridges between us. It may have different geographical influences but it is a perfectly universal language.
And that is our ultimate goal! Building bridges, establishing relationships, consolidating the cohesion of our community. Because Art makes us more united!
On the 22nd of May, we will have our big Sparks of Talent party!
Many artists in the community have joined Arts & Culture so we can celebrate art and community. We count on you because only then will we be even more united!
See you soon!
