The fluffy Dragon
A story of me and the other...dragon! By Lucy
Once upon a time, in a magical land, lived the rare species of... ME!!!! I am no ordinary girl because most of the times I am part poet, princess, knight and much more. I don’t only live here on Earth, I live in my imagination.
My parents always taught me to be humble and kind with all people and creatures, just as they always were. They always inspired me look for the greatest treasures in life... I started to think about what these treasures in life were. One day, I decided to look for the most stupendous, humungous and rarest treasure of them all. I prepared myself with dreams, hopes, bravery and I went on a quest.
In the forest of my imagination, I met all kinds of mythical creatures. One misty day, I stopped at a cave near the river to rest... there was a deep growling noise from the cave... I went inside to find out more, when I saw... A HUGE AND RATHER ODD... DRAGON!!! I always knew that this was a very magical imaginary kingdom. Everyone in this land strongly believed that all dragons were scary and dangerous.
At first, I did not realise that the dragon looked different because it was dark in the cave. As the dragon stepped out into the light, I saw his fur...wait! That’s not right! As far as I know, dragons have scales, don’t they?! Both of us screamed at the same time, afraid of each other... No one had ever seen a fluffy dragon before!
I got to know the dragon, to find out that he was special, a dragon in his own way. He told me stories about how all the other dragons laughed at him,
because he was furry and different. The dragon fled his home, because he was tired of the others not liking him the way he was. He made the cave his home and the animals around his friends, as he was gentle and friendly.
I showed him how humans value kindness and friendship. He was happy to see that I accepted him just the way he was. We became good friends: I liked this dragon not because he was different or unique, but simply because he was my friend. At home I told my parents that I had found the biggest treasure of all times, in life. Friendship is the most stupendous, humungous and rarest treasure of all.
