In his opening remarks, H E Paul Malik, the United States Consul General, paid special tribute to the Ismaili Centre, Dubai, a Muslim building that regularly opens its doors to welcome other faiths and cultures, including the Christian community, and in this instance, facilitating the performance of Gospel music.

Reflecting on the tolerance, openness and recognition by the Ismaili community of the deep ties that bind the People of the Book – Ahl al-Kitab – His Excellency welcomed the initiative as a means of promoting interfaith dialogue, mutual understanding and cooperation.
