Diamond Jubilee Mubarak!
During the Diamond Jubilee year you have been gifted with a very special challenge. This year, alongside your Ramadan Calendar, you will also design and build your very own Light My Way Lantern.
The Lantern is a creative arts activity for you to spend time on each weekend. You can be as creative as you like, draw, design a pattern, stick something together, or even write a poem or simply words, but remember, each side of the lantern relates to one of the weekly themes on your Ramadan Calendar.
What you need
Included items: Paper lantern A3 sheet, clear plastic A4 sheet, string, glue dots, light
- Scissors (adult use) and a straight edge ruler
- Permanent felt tip marker, colouring felt tip pens (water based)
- colouring pencils, paint, anything else you wish to decorate the lantern with
- Patience and some thinking beforehand to plan how you want your lantern to look!
