The Ismaili Council for Ontario's Care for the Elderly visitation team organized a memorable Mother's Day event at Scarborough Jamatkhana on May 14, 2017.

Over 200 guests including seniors from long-term care facilities, family members, caregivers and volunteers enjoyed the festivities, starting with a morning breakfast, followed by musical entertainment, mehndi application and dancing. Guests also enjoyed a delicious lunch and heartfelt remarks and prayers from the institutional leadership. As a memento, each honoured guest took home a beautiful rose to commemorate Mother's Day. The seniors felt it was "an amazing event" for many to connect with family and friends.
