The Ismaili Centre, London continued its commemoration of 400 years since the passing of William Shakespeare on Saturday, 17 September 2016.

The Earl of Gowrie gave a short introduction to the work of Shakespeare, followed by respected poet Raficq Abdulla reading from his new book of poems entitled Reflecting mercury: Dreaming Shakespeare’s Sonnets, in conjunction with Shakespearean actress Alice Bonifacio. The performance was accompanied by music specially composed and commissioned for the evening.
