On 13 December 2024, Ismailis around the world will celebrate Mawlana Hazar Imam’s 88th birthday — an occasion to reflect on the unique spiritual bond that links each murid to the Imam-of-the-Time.

Ismaili Muslims are guided by a living, hereditary Imam descended from Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) through Hazrat Ali and Hazrat Bibi Fatima. On December 13, 2024, the global Ismaili community will celebrate the 88th birthday of their current Imam, His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan, who became the 49th Imam in 1957 at the age of 20.

Over six decades, he has dedicated himself to the spiritual and worldly well-being of Ismailis and has earned global recognition for his leadership and commitment to peace, hope, and human dignity. This celebration serves as a time for Ismailis to reflect on their spiritual bond with the Imam and express their love, loyalty, and unity.

Salgirah Khushiali Mubarak!
