Mission:
The Financial Controller (FC) will oversee the financial operations of the Constitutional Bodies (National Council, ITREB, GRB and NCAB) and their associated legal entity (AECCI/ACRI), ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and effective financial management.
Main Tasks:
Accounting and Budget Management
- Process financial transactions to include, maintain, input, and track financial data.
- Review and analyse financial statements twice a month for accuracy and appropriateness of transactions.
- Articulate with the accounting company the legal accounting system and fiscal payments.
- Remittance to the accounting company of all invoices related on a monthly basis.
- Proceed with payments of all areas, after verifying expenditures against budget.
- Preparation and payment of staff salaries.
- Prepare and send to the GRB the Funding Requests on a monthly basis.
- Management of the Bank Accounts, ensuring regular bank reconciliations and liaising with the Account Manager to ensure costs are kept to the minimum and any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Control of the Fundraising Donations in close coordination with the CFR Team.
- Issuing donation receipts.
- Prepare and control the physical archive for the year-end audit.
- Continuous tracking of the Financial Position recommending appropriate actions.
- Statistical Analysis.
- Process Improvement creating process into a manual.
Financial Reporting
- Preparation of reporting documentation:
- oMid-Year Review
- oOSB
- oQuarterly reports
- o Other financial documentation.
- Ensure internal reporting and control process.
- Ensure the presentation of final accounts by members.
- Management of the Accounting Software.
Additional Tasks
- Legal Matters.
- Holiday scheduling and managing.
- Staff contracts management.
- Official statements issuing (e.g. for bank, education and other purposes).
- Staff Insurance management.
- Management of all legal related issues.
- Jamatkhanas.
- Management of Contracts, rents (...).
Skills:
Technical Skills
- Academic qualifications at degree level in Management or Accounting.
- Preferably with professional experience in financial management and/or accounting.
- Numerical analysis skills and a strong sense of organisation.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent computer skills from a user perspective.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
