A match consists of two sets in a short set format with decisive 3rd set decided in a tie-breaker game (up to 7 points).
SHORT SET: Set up to 4 games with tie-breaker at 3 all.
Each match victory is worth 1 point. If any athlete wins the 3 group matches they will have a total of 3 points.
At the end of the matches of each phase, if there are players with the same number of points, the deciding factor will be the one with the best score between sets won and lost.
If players do not show up on the day of the match, a no-show will be assigned.
A 15-minute grace period will be given before scheduled games begin, so it is recommended that athletes remain close to the tennis courts on the day scheduled for their group’s matches.
The matches will not have a referee (as is common in official matches of the Portuguese tennis federation), so the players will be responsible for scoring their own match.
If there are doubts on certain points, they may be repeated.
The warm-up time for each match will be 5 minutes (as is common in Portuguese tennis federation tournaments).
