As part of the Lifelong Learning project, the Education Board has started language classes in the Ismaili Center and Seixal Jamatkhana. The educational offer contains classes of English and Portuguese (proficient and beginners’ levels) in the Ismaili Center and English (advanced beginners), Portuguese (advanced beginners) and Gujrati (beginners).
The schedule is as following:
Lisbon
- Portuguese (Proficient level) – Fridays from 5 to 7pm with a paid professional Portuguese teacher from the ICLP* – price will be based on number of students enrolled, with a max of 15 students.
- Portuguese (beginners level) – Mondays from 5 to 7 pm with a volunteer member of the Jamat
- English (Beginners level) – Thursdays from 5 to 7 pm
Seixal
- Portuguese (Advanced Level) – Tuesdays from 5 to 7 pm with a volunteer member of theJamat – already in progress and enrollment will be determined on individual basis
- Portuguese (Beginners Level) – Tuesdays from 4 to 5 pm with a volunteer member of the Jamat
- English (Advanced Level) – Thursdays from 5.30 to 7 pm with a volunteer member of the Jamat - already in progress and enrollment will be determined on individual basis
- Gujrati (Beginners Level) – Mondays from 5 to 7 pm with a volunteer member of our Jamat.
