Next Wednesday, 28 February at 4pm join us at the Ismaili Centre Lisbon to find out what a living will is, who can elaborate one, what rights each citizen has and how to proceed.

Português

A living will is a document that anyone, of legal age, can state what kind of treatment and healthcare they wish to receive when they are unable to express their wishes.

They can also appoint one or more health care nominees: a person appointed in advance and called upon to decide on the health care to be received by the user who has appointed them, when they are unable to express their will personally and autonomously.

This session is very important for anyone who wants to answer these  and other questions. The session will be led by psychologist Cláudia Marques, part of the Aga Khan Foundation team in Portugal.

Claudia Marques has been responsible for the Seniors Programme (now called Smart4Ageing) since its conception in 2016, namely for managing the team, defining strategies and its operationalization and establishing partnerships. Claudia Marques has a degree in Economics from ISEG, a postgraduate degree in African Studies from ISCTE, a postgraduate degree in Psychogerontology from ISPA and a postgraduate degree in Humanitarian Missions from ESSCVP.
