The AKEPB - Aga Khan Economic Planning Board is a board of the Central Institution of the National Council, and its mission is to monitor and provide economic guidance to the Community based on 3 essential pillars, namely:
- Families, with priority given to programmes to reduce poverty levels, access to professional opportunities with career progression, and the provision of up-to-date economic information with recommendations;
- Businesses, providing access to good professionals and tools for better management practices, business associations, sectoral clusters, national and international networking with access to better contacts and business;
- Investment, thus promoting entrepreneurship and advising national and foreign investors who want to invest in our economy.
AKEPB's main objective for this three-year period is to achieve a healthy economic environment in our Community.
