In commemoration of Milad-un-Nabi, the Council for Toronto extends a warm invitation for an engaging session as we celebrate the exemplary life and leadership of Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him and his progency).

The session will feature Dr. Taushif Kara, a distinguished historian specializing in modern Muslim political thought, with King's College, London as the keynote speaker. Through his address, Dr. Kara will delve into the profound wisdom of the Prophet and its relevance to our contemporary world.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Taushif Kara is a historian of modern Muslim political thought at King's College London. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Faculty of History at the University of Cambridge and his doctoral thesis on the history of the Khoja diaspora, where he was awarded an honourable mention by the Royal Asiatic Society. Prior to joining King's College, Dr. Kara held teaching and research fellowships at the University of Chicago, the School of Oriental and African Studies, and the Alwaleed bin Talal Centre of Islamic Studies at the University of Cambridge. He is a former recipient of the Institute of Ismaili Studies doctoral scholarship, and a graduate of its programme in Islamic studies and humanities.
