Dar es Salaam, 4 July 2011 – Mawlana Hazar Imam arrived at Dar es Salaam airport this evening, commencing his Jamati visit to Tanzania. Eagerly awaiting the Imam, the Jamat has been busy making preparations for the visit and celebrating with traditional festivities.

Dar es Salaam, 4 July 2011 – Mawlana Hazar Imam arrived at Dar es Salaam airport this evening, commencing his Jamati visit to Tanzania. He was received by government officials and leaders of the Tanzanian Jamat.

Hazar Imam's arrival in Tanzania is his first stop in a three-country tour of East Africa. Mawlana Hazar Imam will also take the opportunity to meet with government leaders and review progress of AKDN projects in the region.

Eagerly awaiting the Imam, the Jamat in Tanzania, as well as their neighbours in Uganda and Kenya, have been busy making preparations for the visit and celebrating with traditional festivities.
