The National Technology Series (NTS) continued its cross-country tour in Vancouver which included a speaker panel and networking event on February 23, 2019. The afternoon included a thought-provoking discussion around artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on Digital Health and Medical Technologies.
Attendees had the unique opportunity to hear from a panel of professionals within the field of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), including Todd Kalyniuk, former partner with IBM Health, Stephanie Chicoine, Principal Solution Specialist, National Healthcare with Microsoft, Dr. Sylvain Moreno, Director with Canada’s Digital Health Hub and Shelley Gilberg, Consulting and Public Sector Leader with PWC.
NTS is a five-part series throughout Canada, aiming to highlight the importance of technology and its ability to transcend boundaries and transform industries. Special focus is placed on a changing job landscape, largely being proliferated by A.I., with suggestions made on what individuals can do to prepare themselves for success. Evidently intrigued, many attendees remained post-event to ask questions and continue the dialogue on the various topics discussed. The event was ttended in large numbers by members of the external community.
