Excitement is building as over 2 000 athletes, 2 400 volunteers and 11 000 spectators from around the world have arrived in Dubai for the 2016 Jubilee Games.

With the 2016 Jubilee Games just a few days away, Team Pakistan’s practice sessions are well underway in Karachi, the city of lights. Supported by first-class coaches and experienced managers, the athletes are putting in their best effort to be fit and ready for Dubai.

10 January 2016 — National Ismaili Councils worldwide announced today that the 2016 Jubilee Games will be held between 22 – 29 July in Dubai.

Ismaili athletes around the world are preparing to compete in the 2016 Jubilee Games in Dubai. Jamats in Canada and Tajikistan recently held National Sports Tournaments that serve as qualifiers for the international games, and other National Sports Tournaments are expected to get underway in the coming months.

21 March 2015 — Ismaili Councils worldwide announced on Navroz day that the second cycle of the Jubilee Games will be held in July 2016 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Games seek to encourage and support Ismaili athletes in achieving excellence in competitive sport, and to enhance the Jamat’s awareness and appreciation for physical fitness and health.

Ismaili athletes from the United Kingdom and other European countries were fêted at a send-off ahead of the Golden Jubilee Games. The dinner event, hosted by the Jamati leadership, provided the players with encouragement and inspiration to prepare them for their journey.
