9 March 2016 — With 134 days until the start of the 2016 Jubilee Games, a new website has been launched that will help athletes, volunteers and spectators prepare for this signature event of the global Ismaili Muslim community.
The Jubilee Games website at TheIsmaili.org/JubileeGames provides the most current and complete source of information about the Games, which is set to take place between 22 – 29 July 2016 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Everything from athlete qualification and eligibility requirements, the sports being played and the facilities where they will be held, to information on registration and travel is covered.
If you are thinking about attending and perhaps volunteering at the Games, check out the Get Involved section to find out what types of volunteer opportunities are available and how to register as a volunteer. There is also useful information on planning your trip, including important cultural information about Dubai and visiting the United Arab Emirates.
The FAQs (frequently asked questions) page gathers commonly asked questions in one place. If your question is not already answered on the website, check back often as new information about the Jubilee Games will be posted in the weeks to come.
Whatever your passion — sports, staying healthy or getting to know your Ismaili Muslim brothers and sisters from across the world — the Jubilee Games will deliver. By celebrating excellence in competitive sport, the Games encourages the development of high performing athletes, while inspiring the global Jamat to adopt healthy and active lifestyles and a deeper awareness of the work of the Ismaili Imamat in improving quality of life.
The Jubilee Games Organising Team and the UAE Jamat look forward to welcoming you to Dubai!
