H.E. Maryam Mattar, recognized as one of the ‘100 smartest people in the UAE’, and as the ‘most powerful scientist in the UAE’, and amongst the top 20 Arab scientists with the biggest contribution to humanity by British Scientific Community 2016, visited Ismaili Centre Dubai.
Her Excellency was enthused with the work of the AKDN and shared her work in research in the study of genes, making us aware of genetic disorders across the Middle East region. As founder and chairperson of the UAE ‘Genetics Diseases Association’, H.E. was excited to build synergies with AKDN agencies and the Ismaili Centre Dubai.
We are pleased to know that she will be participating as an expert at the Symposium organised by Aga Khan University in Lisbon on ‘Stem Cell Science, Regenerative Medicine, Ethics and Society’ later this month.
It was very humbling to see Arabian Business’ recognized lady, one among the ‘top 100 most influential Arabs in the world’, and this year among the ‘50 Most Influential Women In The Arab World’ being at home at The Aga Khan Early Learning Centre (AKELC) during her visit.
