Ismaili Centre Dubai
United Arab Emirates

The breakfast event with the Vice Provost of International Affairs at Harvard University was an informative and intellectually stimulating interaction between leadership and the guests from Harvard.

There was extensive discussion on the emphasis on research and gathering of highly accurate data being the cornerstone of ‘impact’ development. The visitors were also able to hear, in detail, the work of AKDN and the challenges of addressing issues of food security, education, health care delivery, urbanization and the coming demographic realities.

There was agreement that Ismaili Centre Dubai should work in collaboration with Harvard Medical School given its vast research and development resource and AKHS with its decades of experience in ground-up development activity, particular issues of diseases, such as diabetes.
