The Annual Ramadan Suhoor was held at the Ismaili Centre, Dubai in partnership with The Aga Khan University, featuring a presentation titled, "A Transformative Vision: Aga Khan University, 40 Years and Onwards," by Dr. Sulaiman Shahabuddin, President of the Aga Khan University.
The President of the Aga Khan University President, Dr. Sulaiman Shahabuddin, accompanied by other University leaders, addressed a diverse audience at a Ramadan Suhoor held at the Ismaili Centre, Dubai. Guests included government officials and diplomats as well as representatives from the public and private sectors in the fields of Healthcare and Academia.
President Sulaiman shared the story of the University’s remarkable 40-year journey, emphasising its international impact through world-class teaching, research, and healthcare delivery. The Aga Khan University provides more than $25 million annually on patient welfare with a view expanding access to high quality healthcare services for all.
Speaking at the event, Mr Aziz merchant, President of the Ismaili Community in the UAE said “the story of the Aga Khan University manifests the Islamic ethic of compassion, which improves the welfare of both the individual and society, thus aligning with the notion of giving back - the very essence of the holy month of Ramadan.”
The evening concluded with guests being invited to partake in a Ramadan Suhoor.
