In Belgium, the celebration of the 81st Birthday of our beloved Hazar Imam took place on 15 December 2017.

Around 300 people, converging from all parts of Belgium, gathered at the “Birmingham Palace” Hall in Brussels to share a delicious meal, followed by traditional dances to the sound of a live band animated by members of the Paris Jamat. Over the past years, these celebrations are wonderful occasions to bring together the diverse and centuries old traditions of our Jamat.  Classical rasras and dandias are enriched by dances inspired by Afghan and Syrian traditions. Above all, these celebrations provide great opportunities for the Jamat to meet, exchange and learn from each other in a fraternal atmosphere. Jamati leaders of the Council for France were together with local jamati leaders, commended the excellent work done by volunteers who performed their duties with great efficiency and unity.  Above all the event was a great demonstration of the pluralism of our worldwide Jamat and how working together can only bring most satisfying results.
