Lancement campagne One Jamat

We are pleased to announce the launch of the One Jamat 2024 fundraising campaign.

We are living in a period of instability and transition in terms of climate, politics, economics, migration and conflict. These events are severely impacting our seniors, our students, economically vulnerable families and our newly arrived brothers and sisters.

Therefore, our programs need to be even more ambitious to meet the immediate challenges of improving the quality of life of all our families while also strengthening our bonds of brotherhood and preparing our common future.

In 2024, we will continue to work on our main priorities:

  • Continue to support families facing economic difficulties. We cannot allow members of our Jamat to live in difficulty.

  • Implement community gathering initiatives such as the Connection camps, Mosaic, the Sports Festival in Portugal, camps in Belgium, gatherings in Switzerland and Ivory Coast and the Khushialis of the month of July. We need these opportunities to get together, share joyful moments, and strengthen our bonds of brotherhood and mutual support.

  • The integration of newly settled families through language learning, training, educational support and close accompaniment to improve their integration. In total, there are more than 12,000 members who have arrived in Europe since 2015 (including 3,300 in our jurisdiction) whom we will collectively support so that they can enjoy a dignified quality of life in this part of the world.

  • To prepare for the Global Encounters Festival in 2025, which will be an exceptional moment not only for our artists and sportsmen and women, but for the Jamat as a whole. We need this to give us a strong impetus, bring a wind of hope and propel us into the future.

Numerous other actions are planned around these priorities, and it would take too long to list them here.

These programs are essential to secure a prosperous future for our Jamat. They reflect the ethics of our faith and and give concrete expression to our individual and collective responsibility to help those in need, whether we are in France, in Belgium, in Switzerland or in Ivory Coast, whether we can contribute little or more, whether we are young or old.

We would like to thank the Jamat for its generosity and support and invite you to speak to the teams present in the Centres for further details. You can also send your donations through this link (https://sogecommerce.societegenerale.eu/vads-site/ASSOCIATION_CULTURELLE_ISMAILI )
