Heureusement, tout comme il a établi la Fondation Aga Khan en réponse aux enjeux de l’époque, Mawlana Hazar Imam a établi Global Encounters pendant son Diamond Jubilee pour répondre aux enjeux d’aujourd’hui. Global Encounters est une nouvelle Institution destinée à porter le Jamat encore plus haut par ses programmes, à nous connecter les uns aux autres en renforçant notre identité et notre unité, et à créer la prochaine génération de leaders, d’intellectuels et d'acteurs globaux de notre Jamat.
La question est : comment pouvons-nous accompagner, soutenir et développer cette institution ? C'est l’objet de la campagne "Giving is Uplifting", qui a été lancée à l'échelle mondiale, précisément pour permettre aux membres du Jamat de prendre part à ce voyage extraordinaire et de soutenir la vision de notre Imam. Le Jamat du monde entier a déjà soutenu Global Encounters par ses dons généreux. C'est maintenant à notre tour de nous mobiliser pour réaliser la vision de notre Imam et contribuer à la construction de notre avenir commun. Nous avons besoin de votre soutien et nous avons jusqu'à la fin du mois d’avril 2024 pour finaliser nos promesses de don et soutenir notre Jamat pour les années à venir. Under our beloved Mawlana Hazar Imam’s leadership, our Jamat has grown to become a multicultural, diverse, and globalized community, established in over 25 countries. A community that is forward-looking, respected, and praised. But how do we experience that globalization in our everyday life? Are we truly conscious of our richness through diversity of our cultures, traditions, and heritage? How much more strength and inspiration would we be able to draw from engaging more with who we are today? And how will our present shape the Jamat of tomorrow? These are all important questions that we should take a few minutes to contemplate. Because we are One Jamat, and the legacy and future of our Jamat rests with us. This is heavy responsibility.
Thankfully, as he once established the Aga Khan Foundation to address priority challenges of that time, Mawlana Hazar Imam established Global Encounters during his Diamond Jubilee year to help us address current challenges. Global Encounters is a new Institution designed to uplift the Jamat through its programs, connect us all with each other in a way that strengthens our identity and unity, and create the next generation of global leaders, thinkers and changemakers for our Jamat. The question is: how can we nurture, support, and develop this Institution? This is why the ‘Giving is Uplifting’ campaign was launched globally, precisely to enable members of the Jamat to take part in this extraordinary journey and support our Imam’s vision.
Jamats around the world have already supported Global Encounters through generous donations. Now it is our turn to mobilize to fulfil our Imam’s vision and contribute to the construction of our collective future.
