The Global Encounters Festival 2025 is excited to share thrilling news about the upcoming festival, set to take place in Dubai in July 2025.
Starting this month, the global Jamat is invited to engage in a series of challenges, both international and local, designed to promote health, creativity, sustainability, and community connections.
This month's challenge theme is "Care and Gratitude," encouraging reflection and generosity in our daily lives.
The international challenge is now live! Discover it and participate by visiting the website gefestival.ismaili.
Additionally, a local challenge in collaboration with Ismaili Civic, is designed specifically for our jurisdiction: Solidarity Box Operation. This operation will take the form of in-kind donations to support various associations, such as la Fabrique de la Solidarité, l’Armée du Salut, les Samaritains de Bruxelles, Dans ma Rue et la Croix-Rouge Genevoise.
To participate in the Solidarity Box Operation, take a shoe-box and fill it with:
- A treat: food or beverages easy to eat, non-perishable and alcohol-free
- A hygiene or wellness product (new and unopened)
- A warm accessory: scarf, gloves, hat, socks, etc.
- A fun or cultural object: book, card game, magazine, etc.
- A kind word, a holiday card or a child's drawing to bring a little human warmth.
Decorate your shoe-box and indicate if it’s for a man (H), a woman (F), a child (E) or mixed (M).
Donations will be collected until December 21st in the following centers: Paris, Argenteuil, Nantes, Montpellier, Gouvieux-Chantilly, Lyon, Brussels and Geneva.
